The false promise of the basic income is that once free from having to work a shitty job to survive people will be able to pursue their passions, and there will be an explosion in the arts and sciences. However, think of all the people dependent on welfare, trust money, or any other guaranteed income. How many of them are artists and scientists compared to worthless pieces of shit?
